March is Colon Canter awareness month and the staff at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center wore blue in support. Colorectal Cancer, or Colon Cancer, is the third most common cancer in the United States. It is also the second leading cause of death from cancers that affect both men and women.
Medical staff wear blue for the same reason they wore red in February, to bring awareness to people of the United States. To remind them about regular screenings that can help prevent or catch a disease earlier.
