Even with all of the games and themes, there were moments when residents of Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center sat and relaxed with a wonderful concert. Thank you to Terry Turner for coming out during National Nursing Home Week and giving the residents a wonderful evening of music and fun.
Another theme during National Nursing Home Week was Rock Star Day. Residents and staff of Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center dressed in punk rock attire. There was some bright lipstick and dark clothing to get into the mood.
For more fun during National Nursing Home Week, residents and staff of Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center wore crazy socks and hats during the day. There were some fun and creative hats being worn and it made everyone laugh. It was a great time to see all the fun things people were wearing.
Residents at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center had a great time playing a few rounds of bingo for National Nursing Home Week. There were cash prizes for the winners.
Staff at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center had a little fun with the residents. They put a cardboard bullseye around their face and the residents got to “throw” a pie in the staff members face. Lots of laughs and smiling for this game during National Nursing Home week.
Residents and staff of Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed themselves with a nice wine and appetizer spread. Lots of cheese and crackers to go with the great taste of wine. Also, a huge thank you to the facilities dietician, Lora Parks, that shared her love for art with the residents.
Staff at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center celebrated National Nursing Home Week with a Hippie themed day. They dressed in tie dye, bell bottoms, and some fringe to get into the mood. It was a fun and festive day that made many people smile.
Residents and staff of Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed a fun Car Show in celebration of National Nursing Home Week. People went around the parking lot looking at classic muscle cars or even some 50’s style cars. A lot of fun to see the change in the way cars are made and look.
